As part of its tourism promotion strategy, the municipality of Celaya actively participated in the "Bridge to Mexico" initiative, held at the Mexican Consulate General in San Diego, California, in coordination with the Secretariat of Tourism and Identity of the State of Guanajuato.

This event took place in the heart of the Little Italy tourist district, a key space due to its multicultural influence, and was conceived as a platform for Guanajuato destinations to showcase their cultural, culinary, artisanal, and tourist riches to the world through the institutional support of the Mexican consulate.

Celaya’s participation was active and vibrant, capturing the attention of approximately 400 people of different nationalities, who were able to enjoy an authentic sample of what distinguishes the municipality: its flavor, tradition, and identity.

During the event, promotional activities and typical souvenir distribution were carried out, including traditional cajeta sweets, tin toys, rag dolls, and cardboard dolls, items that captivated the public and generated strong interest in learning more about the destination.

This action represents a strategic opportunity to position Celaya on the radar of international tourism, especially among the Latino and American communities seeking authentic and cultural experiences in Mexico.

"Events like Puente a México are key to internationalizing Celaya’s tourism offerings. We appreciate the support of the State and the Consulate General for opening these spaces that allow us to connect with new audiences and proudly showcase who we are and what we offer," said the head of Municipal Tourism.

With these initiatives, the municipality of Celaya reaffirms its commitment to global tourism projection, investing in innovative and collaborative strategies that drive the economic, cultural, and social development of the destination.
