Celaya successfully participates in the 49th edition of the Mexico Tourist Fair
The municipality of Celaya had a prominent participation as part of the delegation from the Secretariat of Tourism and Identity of the State of Guanajuato at the 49th edition of the Mexican Tourism Fair, held from April 28 to May 1 in the state of Baja California.
The event, recognized as the most important forum for the tourism industry in Latin America, brought together the country’s main destinations, as well as national and international representatives of the sector. Celaya’s presence in this strategic space allowed it to strengthen the promotion of its tourist attractions, cultural identity, gastronomy, and tourism vocation, consolidating its position as a competitive destination within the Bajío region.
During the Fair, Celaya participated in a joint agenda with the State of Guanajuato, actively participating in business meetings and presentations with tour operators, travel agencies, and specialized media. In total, approximately 55 meetings were held with key representatives of the tourism value chain at the national and international levels, which generated important networking opportunities.
Among the main achievements are collaboration agreements with AMEVH, Expedia, Cinépolis, various tour operators, and a production company based and operating in the United States, which opens up new opportunities for promotion, audiovisual production, and positioning Celaya on global tourism platforms.
In addition, tourism products, local gastronomic experiences, and the municipality’s potential as a venue for business events and religious tourism were promoted.
The Municipal Government of Celaya, through the Directorate of Tourism, reaffirms its commitment to continue working in synergy with the State and the Federation to attract more visitors, encourage investment, and position Celaya as a destination rich in history, flavor, and innovation.
"Our participation in this Tourism Fair represents a great opportunity to showcase Celaya’s tourism potential to the country and the world. We appreciate the support of the State Secretariat of Tourism and Identity and will continue promoting strategies so that more people can experience what our city has to offer," said the head of Municipal Tourism.
With these types of actions, Celaya is moving toward comprehensive and sustainable tourism development, generating benefits for its local economy and strengthening its presence in key national tourism markets.
